Marco Marco's "Collection 1" Goes Hollywood

All Photos by Marco Marco
Hollywood Style ExaminerMarco Marco has launched his new line Collection 1 in Hollywood on November 16th.  The Hollywood stars, fashionistas and socialites should be gearing up to schedule appointments to visit his showroom for fittings to the next red carpet event or award show.  Marco Marco's 35-piece collection has no boundaries and his creations are designed to form the body.
About Marco Marco:
With a remarkable creative vision, innovative mind, and imagination of free expression, Marco Morante has made his mark in the fashion and music industry as the man behind Marco Marco. Carrying the design house’s reputation for ingenious, couture pieces showcased by a slew of celebrities and performers such as FergieKaty PerryNicki Minaj,Ke$haBritney SpearsShakira, and many more.
The 31-year-old Californian born, Marco Morante isn’t a traditionally trained fashion designer, he earned a Scenic and Costume Design BFA in Theatrical Design from CalArts, then opened his flagship design studio in 2003 located in the heart of Hollywood. The big difference he says is that fashion designers are taught to impose a concept, while costume designers are taught to amplify something already there. Mornate’s love for glamour, extreme fashion, and remarkable talent has jetted him to the top of the list of designers in demand for one of kind creations. His ingenious fashions can be seen worn by today’s hottest pop stars, leading actresses, on the red carpet, music videos, commercials, and world tours.
According to Morante, some of his creations require materials designers don’t typically work with. “ We spend a lot of time at Home Depot and the grocery store looking for materials that will read a certain way on screen,” says Marco Marco “There are all kinds of materials out there that are not necessarily made for clothes that we are re-approaching.”
Marco Marco’s flagship design studio and showroom is the hub for innovative imagination, creativity, and free expression. His design team works tirelessly to create phenomenal, admirable, and glamorously outré costumes for his clients featured in spreads or covers in publications such as Zink Magazine, Numero, AngelenoLA Times, Surface Magazine, Los Angeles Magazine, and many more. Marco Marco’s work can also be seen in commercials for, Got Milk?, Vitamin Water, PlayStation, and INTEL. The Studio at Las Palmas is open to all industry professionals by appointment only, please note new pieces are created and displayed daily for a fresh experience every time.
